Nissan

Writer and Director of Nissan's "Dealership of the Future" video

Challenge: Create a video demonstrating how technology will impact the Nissan dealership experience five years from now...before any of that technology has actually been created.

Approach: To predict the future, we started with the present. We took current technologies (RFID, mobile apps, tablet computing, etc.) and extrapolated their applications. Then, we projected our version of a futuristic dealership onto a real dealership environment that we covered in green screens, allowing for an immersive, yet realistic experience. We paid special attention to how today’s investment in technology can reap future dividends through efficiency and an improved customer experience.

Team: Our indomitable producer Ariella Levitan and her team at PDI; AV Concepts and their production crew (the team that created the Tupac hologram!).

Photos (from top to bottom): a night on the set; storyboards; tech interfaces we had to create for our greenscreened devices; stills from the massive dual screens on which this was projected
