Product Demo, Brand Refresh and Marketing Strategy for Education Systems educational software

Challenge: Longtime leader in educational software, Education Systems, wanted to demo their newest software product and refresh their brand image in the face of upstart competition. However, they weren't sure how to capture the attention of a new generation of end-users, some of whom perceived them as out-of-date which was in direct contrast to the groundbreaking software they were about to release.

Approach: Looking at the competition, we uncovered two opportunities: 1) have fun with subject matter that everyone else treated as dry; 2) demonstrate to the customer that we understand their needs by bringing their biggest pain points to life through the main character. Our solution: disguise our product as a sitcom, tapping into the cultural familiarity and affinity for The Office. This brought humor and youth to the brand, opening up a new customer base.
